All the JRFA team wish you and your family a very happy and enjoyable New Year.

Each new year and particularly this new decade brings a time for reflection. A time of looking back and one for looking forward and making changes.

After five years of sending our monthly guides to the world of Contemporary Middle Eastern art, we have taken the decision that this will be our final edition in its current form (though we shall continue to highlight events and exhibitions on social media). We have enjoyed preparing these newsletters enormously and thank you for your amazing support over the years, which is hugely appreciated.

Meanwhile, in the physical realm, we shall continue our active programme of exhibitions and events and hope that you will be able to visit our stand P16b at the forthcoming London Art Fair. We remind you also of Patrick Altes' ongoing exhibition at Gerald Moore Gallery. JFRA artist Fereydoun Ave will be speaking at the British Museum on 26th January in collaboration with Magic of Persia Foundation and watch out too for Amin Roshan's exhibition at Rossi & Rossi opening in London in February.

Returning to the newsletter, in our Art Matters section we review the varied topics covered over the last twelve months - a chance to check them out if you missed any. We feature a selection of noteworthy and recommended books and finally in the spirit of the festive season, for our monthly Inspiration we peak at the behind the scene moments of fashion brand Loewe's making of their latest video campaign at Leighton House.

We hope you enjoy this last Middle Eastern guide and hope you have lots of fun and success in 2020!!
